The Russellville Athletic department oversees 42 boys and girls sports teams at Russellville High School, Russellville Junior High School, and Russellville Middle School. There are approximately 450 student-athletes and more than 50 coaches in the district. 

Russellville High School is a member of the 6A West conference. Conference members are Greenwood, Siloam Springs, Benton, Sheridan, LR Hall, El Dorado, and Lake Hamilton.

Sports offered at Russellville High School include Football, Basketball, Baseball, Soccer, Wrestling, Volleyball, Cross Country, Track, Competitive Cheer, Competitive Dance, Softball, Tennis, Golf, Swimming and Diving, and Bowling.

Russellville Junior High is a member of the River Valley Jr. High Conference. Conference members are Clarksville, Morrilton, Vilonia, Greenbrier, LR Christian, Beebe, and Searcy.

Sports offered at Russellville Junior High School are Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, Basketball, Competitive Cheer, Competitive Dance, and Track. 

All other sports compete in the 5A West Conference. Conference members are Greenbrier, Vilonia, Greenwood, Siloam Springs, Beebe, LR Christian, and Alma.

Sports offered at Russellville Middle School are Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, Spirit Squad, and Track.

Philosophy of The Russellville Athletic Department

The philosophy of the Russellville Athletic Department is to maintain a broad-based program that will afford all students with athletic interest an opportunity for safe participation in the sports of their choice. The coaches shall deal with the athletes with firmness and fairness in order to establish the leadership they respect and admire.

The student-athlete will develop the skills necessary to become independent problem-solving adults and become a positive influence in society, not just a good athlete.
