About Special Education

The resource classroom provides students who are in general education classrooms with support in reading, writing, and math. The self-contained classroom serves special education students in a classroom setting. Both classrooms provide a place where education is tailored to students’ individual needs.

Meet the Teachers

Hi! My name is Angela Wiest. I am a resource classroom teacher. I moved to Russellville in December 2009 with my two boys. I graduated from Liberty University in 2012 with my bachelor degree in elementary education. I then went on to pursue my Master of Arts in teaching and graduated from Arkansas Tech University in May of 2015. I have been the resource teacher at Oakland Heights since 2015. My position allows me to meet students where they are academically and help them reach their full potential.

My name is Amanda Coulter. I am a resource classroom teacher. I started school in Russellville but graduated from Lamar. My family started Taco Villa here in Russellville. I received my degree from Arkansas Tech. I have three kids in the Russellville School District. I look forward to helping the students at Oakland Heights who need a little help reach their full potential!
