Math Intervention is the use of increasingly intensive and effective instructional interventions for students who struggle in mathematics. Teachers use a variety of formative assessments to target strategic instructional techniques that are tailored to meet individual students' needs. Intervention strengthens conceptual and procedural knowledge to close existing gaps so that students can move smoothly to and make connections with other mathematics. The long-term goal of intervention should be to help students gain independent strategies and take responsibility for their own learning. This approach to intervention leads to an emphasis on bigger ideas in mathematics and their applications
My name is Ashley Stobaugh. My husband is Bart and we have two children, Carter and Bentley. I attended Arkansas Tech University, where I earned a degree in Early Childhood Education. I taught 2nd grade for 13 years at Sequoyah. In 2017, I became the Math Interventionist. I provide intensive instruction to address problems that students are having in math. I love developing relationships with students and helping them succeed and reach their goals!
