RSD's Jeff Holt, Director of Safety, was recognized by Attorney General Leslie Rutledge for the 'Safe Schools Leadership Award for the Larance Johnson Education Administrator of the Year.'

\r\n

The award is presented in recognition of a school administrator who has made a specific, significant contribution to their school resource officer program and school safety.

\r\n

RSD Resource Officer Corporal Kevin Hobby says that the award is well deserved.

\r\n

"He (Holt) has really put an emphasis on training our employees, and was behind the changes made for each school to have only one point of entry as well as implementing the Rave Panic Button app. His leadership has increased the awareness of school safety with all Russellville school district employees.” \r\n

\r\n

Hobby continues by saying that “I feel like both our students and parents feel safer while at school because of the changes Jeff has made."

\r\n

Holt has been employed by RSD since 1999 and accepted the role of Assistant Principal of the Middle School and Safety Coordinator in 2017.
