Hello! I am so excited to teach in my new role as Reading Interventionist this year! Prior to this year I completed 33 years of teaching as a Kindergarten Teacher at Crawford. I graduated from Arkansas Tech University in 1987 and my favorite things include spending time with family, at church, camping and the cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks!

HelloI I am an interventionist at Crawford Elementary. I look forward to working with our Crawford Eagles and their families this year as part of the intervention team. The role of an interventionist is to work closely with classroom teachers to make sure ALL students literacy and math needs are met. The classroom teacher and interventionists work as a team to ensure each student's skills are identified in order to strengthen weak skills or extend their learning to more advanced skills so the student is working on exactly what they need at that moment. Interventionists meet with student groups in their classrooms for 20 to 30 minute groups three to five days a week to provide lessons that focus on missing or weak reading, writing, or math skills. I also provide dyslexia services for qualifying students using the Phonics First, Barton, and/or Rite Flight programs.
