A Career Pathway is a series of connected education and training programs and student support services that enable individuals to secure a job or advance in a demand industry or occupation. At RSD, our goal is to enable students to prepare for a successful career after high school. We are putting action to our belief that every student deserves a personalized education that results in a successful and productive life.

At Russellville Junior High School, students begin taking assessments that show what career cluster they are interested in based off the 16 Career Clusters in the National Career Clusters Framework. Students then can take classes at RHS that match these career clusters or match one of the 20 career pathways that are available at RHS. Students in the career pathways class have the opportunity to receive college credit through Arkansas Tech University Ozark campus and receive industry level certifications.

Russellville educators are fully committed to helping each student discover his/her unique talents, grow in knowledge, and develop skills and dispositions needed for success in academics and in life. The secondary education experience in Russellville is characterized by strong support systems, positive role models, rigorous and relevant curriculum and instruction, and an emphasis on personalized learning. In the Russellville schools, we take pride in the fact that we are committed to helping all students find their career interest and create a plan to pursue their academic and career goals.

Russellville Junior High School and Russellville High School, in conjunction with ATU Career Center, offers 20 distinct career pathways including Securities and Investments, Engineering, Biomedical Science, Welding Technology, and Criminal Justice. We have also added a computer science pathway as well as a military pathway with our JROTC program. In addition to the many distinct pathways we offer, we also have a Teacher Cadet class that affords classroom and field experience to students interested in pursuing education as a career. Students pursuing a career and technical pathway may also enroll in an internship program.
