At Dwight, we are committed to helping every student learn, grow, and succeed—and we need our students here in order to teach them! Every minute of our school day matters. When students arrive late or are checked out before dismissal, they miss valuable learning and instructional time.
This year, we’re excited to encourage strong attendance with three fun attendance incentives! The attached graphic explains how students can earn rewards for being at school, arriving on time, and staying through the end of the school day.
We know that illnesses and unavoidable circumstances happen. Our goal is simply to build strong attendance habits and celebrate students for showing up and being ready to learn whenever they can. We also have students whose individual educational needs require modified schedules, so you may occasionally see students arriving or leaving at different times. Those situations are handled individually and are separate from our general attendance expectations and incentives.
