Happy New Year Dwight families! We hope you had a wonderful break and are ready for an exciting second semester of learning! As we kick off this new year, we want to remind everyone of the importance of starting the school day on time. Our school day begins promptly at 8:50 AM on Mondays and at 7:50 AM on Tuesdays through Fridays. Arriving on time is essential for your child's success and well-being in school. When students arrive late, they miss out on important parts of the morning routine, including classroom instructions, social-emotional learning, and the opportunity to connect with their peers. These early moments help students feel settled, prepared, and ready to learn. Being on time also supports our teachers in creating a smooth start to the day and ensures that all students can fully participate in the valuable lessons and activities that set the tone for the rest of the school day. We kindly ask for your continued support in helping your child arrive on time, so they can start each day confidently and with all the benefits of a complete and welcoming school experience. Thank you for your cooperation. We can't wait to see our Lil Cyclones on Monday and look forward to a wonderful second semester together!

Arriving on Time Matters!
Mrs. Moore's 4th Graders discovered a passion for Binary Coding! Students wrote code to represent images. Students were also encouraged to create their own drawing and write their own code!

🏀💪 At Dwight Elementary School, our Lil' Cyclones are hitting the court with Physical Education teachers, Coach Mo and her Intern Coach Snow. They are bringing a whole new level to basketball! They're not just teaching dribbling, triple threat position, and passing—they’re integrating math, literacy, and music skills into every drill! 🎶📚✨
