Tiger families, we have 3 options for school this year. This explanation is to help you make the best choice for your family.
\r\nOption A is onsite. Your child attends school every day at London Elementary. All students are enrolled in this option unless parents complete the form for Option B or C.
\r\nOption B is offsite. Your child does not physically attend class at London but a place is designated for your child in one of our classrooms. Your child will be assigned to a teacher and will do the same RSD curriculum as students who are onsite for instruction. The difference is the delivery of the instruction. In Option A, the classroom teacher is teaching your child in person at school. In Option B, your child will have videos of teachers (it may be their assigned teacher or another teacher in our district) or other instructional videos to watch, along with assignments to complete that are of the same content and standards as students who are onsite. The assignments are submitted to the classroom teacher through the technology device provided by the district. Your child can expect to join their teacher or another London staff member virtually twice a week for a small group lesson. Option B is a 9 week commitment, and you can decide at the end of the nine weeks if you want your child to return to school at London or continue offsite. When returning, your child will be in the classroom of the teacher they were assigned to at the beginning of the year.
\r\nOption C is the Russellville Cyclone Virtual Academy. Your child is offsite and does an online program called Lincoln Learning. This is a different curriculum that the RSD curriculum. Your child is still considered a London Elementary student. However, your child is not assigned to one of our classrooms. Their teacher of record will be our instructional facilitator Mrs. Humphrey. She will check in once a week with families to see how things are going and to ensure students are maintaining progress in their learning. Option C is a semester commitment.
