Congratulations to RMS Employee and Student of the Month, Mrs. Harris and Darcy Shumake!
Mrs. Gallegos nominated Mrs. Harris. This is what she said:
"This music teacher turned special education math teacher/incredible co-teacher/quiz bowl coach/GT teacher is a force to be reckoned with! She obviously does all the things and she does this with grace and professionalism! She loves her students well and wants them to be successful in all that they do! She is so good at balancing all that she does, and is such a positive person to be around! She goes above and beyond, and I am so thankful that she is a part of our SPED team! This girl is a rockstar and deserves to be the teacher of the month!”
Mrs. Sparks nominated Darcy Shumake, this is what she said:
"Darcy Shumake deserves student of the month. She is a wonderful student who gives 100% every day, always has a smile on her face, and is helpful and kind to everyone. I have Darcy in 8th period and I always ask students to pick up and straighten up the room. Darcy goes above and beyond on this--as she does with all her assignments in class. Her positive attitude and strong work ethic make her a standout middle schooler and so deserving of April's Student of the Month honor!"
