Kerry Kucala Presented at National Education Conference

Russellville School District is proud to announce that Kerry Kucala was selected as a presenter at the Complete 180 Conference, a national event that brings together educators shaping the future of teacher development and student success.

Kerry was chosen from a competitive pool of applicants and is one of only eleven presenters at the conference. Her session, titled “How to Develop Systems that Retain Novice Teachers,” highlights her work in creating and implementing the Novice Teacher Mentor Program at Russellville High School and expanding it to other secondary schools in the district. The presentation showcases practical strategies that help support new teachers and strengthen our schools.

Kerry shared how this opportunity came about:

"I first noticed Daryl Williams, the creator of Impact, on my social media feed. Curious about his work, I reached out to him and shared that we were speaking the same language in supporting teachers. Within a week, he scheduled a video call and asked me to submit a formal proposal for the Complete 180 Conference. He told me he was impressed with my tenacity and the impact of my work here, and that it fit perfectly with what his conference highlights. My session showcases the work I’ve done in our district and what I plan to continue independently in the future."
