Cyclone Tennis

Cyclone tennis defeated Alma 7-1 on Thursday night.  Players of the game were juniors Maya Mikles and Jillian Hogins for their constant positive impact on the team, and their impressive win of 6-1.  

On Tuesday, the Russellville High School tennis teams traveled to Van Buren for a pair of conference matches against Shiloh Christian and Farmington. 

In the opening match, The Cyclones battled but fell 1-7.  The lone victory came from freshman Camila Carrero, who earned Player of the Game honors after grinding out a thrilling third set tiebreak win in singles. 

Russellville bounced back later in the day with a competitive matchup against Farmington.  The Cyclones and Cardinals traded points throughout the contest, ultimately ending in a 4-4 tie. Senior Isabel Rivas stood out as a Player of the Game, securing a key win and providing steady leadership for the team.  

Russellville will host Harrison and FS Southside on Tuesday, then travel to Greenwood on Thursday of next week.
