Motivational Monday! Thank you Americorps for spreading positivity to our students!

In recognition of DEAR day (Drop Everything And Read), students were encouraged to read their library books, magazines, and newspapers. We love seeing students find joy in reading! #READLIKEAGALE

Research and Reading.
Students have been working on an essay about zoos in ELA class. As they finish sections of their essay and wait for feedback in Mrs. Southerland’s class, they read their independent books quietly. We are #galePROUD

Carson Walker did it again! He broke the RMS 800 record set in 1986 with a time of 214.50! Carson is currently ranked 5th in the Nation in the 7th-grade boys 800!
We are so proud of Carson and his tremendous accomplishments! #galePROUD

6th grade science students went to the library this week and created black out poems using pages of old books. Each student created their own unique poem to showcase their talents and creative taste.

RMS has the best Assistant Principals! Thank you for all that you do Mr. Sitkowski and Mrs. Walker.

Another Gales record falls!
Talen Hindsman has joined the ranks of Gales track athletes to have a record-breaking performance over the last few years for the Russellville Middle School track team.
Hindsman broke the Gales triple jump record of 35 feet 6 inches which was previously set in 2013 by Josiah Woodard. Hindsman set a new record at the Badger Relays in Beebe with a winning jump of 36 feet & 1/2 inches.
Coach Joey Fisher said, "We are very proud of Talon and his accomplishments, and he still has a couple of more meets to take the record to new lengths before the season is over."
The Gales will end their season on April 17 in Conway at the Wampus Kitten Relays.
