7th graders attended a field trip last week through their Social Studies class. They got to tour the Historic Arkansas Museum and the Old State House to learn all about life in Arkansas during these times.
Our Intro to Coding classes finished up our 3D design unit by creating Lithophanes. These are 2D images that we convert to a 3D image to shine light through. As they get printed off, students are able to take home their creations. We love seeing our student's amazing creations! Go Gales!
Mrs. Maxwell's classes are learning about rocket fuel this week. Students built rockets out of cardboard boxes and then raced to see who could make it the furthest with their rocket. Congratulations to those that received the Butterfly Award for longest distance!

Congratulations to the winner of the "Clash of the Gales" competition, Mr. McClure! This week teachers competed in a rock, paper, scissors competition. Each teacher started off with a beaded necklace. If they lost, they had to give their beads to the winner. Way to go Mr. McClure!
We had the cutest campus ambassador visit our 6th grade ELA classes yesterday! Jerry the Bulldog stopped by to work with the ELA department on their Animal Allies unit. Heather Stracner brought Jerry III to discuss his role in connecting students with the community.

Attention families: Students received a form with information about next week's Thanksgiving lunch. This form needs to be returned if you’d like a ticket to attend Thanksgiving lunch. Tickets are $5 each and must be purchased by Wednesday, November 8th. If you need an additional form, please contact the front office.
This week RMS celebrated Red Ribbon Week, a drug-abuse prevention campaign, by dressing up to bring awareness to this cause. Each day we had a raffle for every student or staff member who participated. Congrats to our winners!
Attention RMS families, our 1st 9 Weeks Gale Awards will be on Friday, November 3, 2023. 6th-grade awards will begin at 8:45 and 7th-grade awards will begin at 10:15. Parents/Caregivers will park in the back gym parking lot and check in at the table when entering the building for a visitor's pass.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the RMS Spirit Squad used PINK poms and PINK bows to show their support for breast cancer awareness during their last football game of the season.
