
We have many items in our lost and found. If your child is missing items, please come in to the building to look through them. All items unclaimed by Friday, March 16th will be donated.


Yearbook orders are due Friday, March 9th! Yearbooks are a wonderful way to preserve the memories of those special elementary school days!


All RSD schools will dismiss 90 minutes early Monday, February 19th. Late bus riders, car riders, and walkers will be dismissed at 1:40. Early bus riders, Boys & Girls Club, and daycare van riders will be dismissed shortly before 1:40.

The Scholastic Book Fair will be open Feb. 13th from 1:00-7:00 p.m. during parent conferences. Help foster your child's love of reading by adding books to their Valentine's Day goodies!


RSD will hold Parent/Teacher Conferences on Monday, February 12 from 1 to 7 p.m. for RMS and on Tuesday, February 13 from 1 to 7 p.m. for Kindergarten-5th grades.
RHS and RJHS will hold Student Success/College and Career Readiness Conferences on Monday, Feb 12 from 1-7 p.m.
There will be no school on Monday, Feb 12 and Tuesday, Feb 13 due to teacher professional development and P/T Conferences. Classes will resume on Wednesday, February 14.


It's here!! The Scholastic Book Fair will be open for business on Thursday, Feb. 8th. The book fair will be open daily from 8:00 a.m.- 3:45 p.m. On Tuesday, Feb. 13th, the book fair will be open from 1:00-7:00 p.m. during parent conferences. The selection is fantastic! The book fair will close on Friday, Feb. 16th at 1:00 p.m.


Sequoyah students did an awesome job bringing in coins for our All for Books Coin Challenge! Sequoyah kids met the challenge head on by donating $1,710 worth of coins! Scholastic will be matching this amount. Donations will be used to help another school in need by purchasing books and supplies.

All for Books Coin Challenge begins Mon., Jan 29th. All donations will be used to buy books for students and teachers. Scholastic will then match our donations which can be used to help fund a school in need! Bring in those pennies on Monday!


Russellville School District invites parents and the community to a Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Showcase on Wednesday, January 31, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Center for the Arts. Join the RSD Athletic Department for RussVegas Karaoke on Saturday, January 27th at the Center for the Arts. The night will kick off with a silent auction at 6 p.m. and karaoke performances beginning at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and free for students.

January is School Board Member Recognition Month, and RSD would like to thank the seven school board members who advocate and shape the direction of our school district. Members of the RSD School Board include Morgan Barrett, Chris Cloud, Breanne Davis, Allan George, Jami Mullen, Jeff Phillips, and Wesley White.


Reminder: There will be no school on Monday, January 15 for the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday and Teacher Professional Development. Classes will resume on Tuesday, January 16.


Tues. evening is Computer Science Family Night at Seq. from 6:00-7:30. A note was sent Fri. with session details. Please select your sessions and arrive a few minutes early for session tickets.

Reminder: Nov. 28th is 3rd grade field trip to the Museum of Discovery. Permission slips, student($4) and chaperone($9) fees are due tomorrow.

Friday, Oct. 27th is Sequoyah Elem. Night at the Cyclones football game. Students and staff will start lining up at 6:40 to lead players onto the field. Parents of younger students are asked to meet your child at the far end of the home bleachers. Dress warm and we hope to see you there.

Don't forget that this month is "Socktober." Bring a pair of new socks to donate to the Joseph House and get to wear your socks without shoes on Tuesday October 31!
