RIS' Wellness Wednesday had special guests Megan Selman, CEO/President of the Russellville Area Chamber of Commerce, Christie Graham, Executive Director of Tourism and Visitor Center for Russellville, and Russellville Mayor Fred Teague. So many fun and exciting things happening in and around our hometown. Students were able to ask questions and hear about the business opportunities and even the process involved in bringing events, businesses, etc. to Russellville.
Special note: all three guests are graduates of the Russellville School District.

Mark your calenders so you don't miss an AMAZING RIS musical April 1! A/B hallway is at 6 PM and C/D is at 7:30 PM at the Performing Arts Center (PAC). Please have your student there 15 minutes early.

Quintin Collins with QC Training, came to Wellness Wednesday this week and put the kids through a circuit training session which even included a hand and eye coordination rotation.

Storms have been learning about the water cycle in science. They worked together in teams to construct a water filter system.
Thank you Steve Mallett and Holli Hall for speaking to our students about the water cycle and our local water system provided by City Corporation. It was a great session on how we get our water in the River Valley!

Mrs. Freeman and RHS students who run Cyclone Co came to Wellness Wednesday to talk about their store, marketing and design tips & techniques. They created some shirt designs together with our Storms!

Three RIS Storms (Ben, Caroline, and Shaleigh) took part in the US Youth Soccer program. This is a program where players are invited to train together and play games against other teams from across the country in the same program. Some of the goals behind the program include:

One of our storms, Lacey, is a member of RVC Academy. She and her team did an amazing job this weekend at Victory competition in Nashville TN. They brought home banners, jackets, and some bling. Congratulations, Lacey!
