The Center for the Arts is honored to host the USAF Band of Mid-America February 12, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. The United States Air Force Band of Mid-America Concert Band represents the professionalism and excellence found every day throughout the Air Force. This diverse, 45-piece ensemble’s repertoire ranges from symphonic band masterworks, to traditional marches, modern compositions, pops, and jazz. This is a family-friendly, open to all-ages event. Russellville placed on the College Board’s 9th Annual AP ® District Honor Roll Russellville School District is committed to expanding the availability of AP courses among prepared and motivated students of all backgrounds, and currently offers 21 AP courses and 20 Pre-AP courses. Russellville School District had 428 AP students participating with a total of 834 AP exams administered. Forty-three of those students scored a perfect 5 on one or more exams. Congratulations to our hard working students and dedicated AP teachers!


Russellville School District approves free admission for all students K-12. Students may enter any school sponsored event at no cost wearing their school shirt.

Russellville High School invites all Veterans and their Families to attend our annual Veterans Day Celebration. It will be held on Friday, November 9th at The Center for the Arts. Breakfast will be provided for veterans and their families at 8 am and the assembly with guest speaker, Arkansas State Representative, Trevor Drown, will begin at 9 am. The RJHS Robotics team earned their first tournament champion award at the Two Rivers VEX Spooktacular. This was their first robotics competition of the year. The award qualifies the team for the state tournament. #RJHSwinds


Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Monday, October 22nd from 1 to 7 p.m. for grades Kindergarten-5th and on Tuesday, October 23rd from 1 to 7 p.m. for grades 6th-12th. There will be no school on Monday, October 22nd and Tuesday, October 23rd due to teacher professional development and Parent/Teacher Conferences. Classes will resume on Wednesday, October 24th. Just a reminder, The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) system tomorrow (October 3, 2018). Expect to receive a test emergency alert message on your phone beginning at 2:18 p.m. EDT. The WEA test message will be a Presidential Alert and will read: "THIS IS A TEST of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System. No action is needed."
